This Privacy Policy explains what information loser.gg ("we", "us") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using loser.gg, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

When you use loser.gg, we collect certain information to provide and improve our services. This includes both personal information you provide directly and technical data collected automatically by our systems.

• Account Information: Your username, email address, and the display name you provide when you sign up.
• Sign-in via Discord or Google: If you sign in with Discord or Google, we receive your display name and email address from that provider. The OAuth access token used to complete sign-in is held only for the duration of the login process and is never stored in our database. Signing in this way does not give us access to your Discord or Google account.
• Payment Information: Paid plans are processed by third-party payment processors: Stripe, PayPal, Coinbase Commerce, Paddle, and Klarna. Your card, bank, or wallet details go directly to the processor — we never receive or store them. We receive confirmation of the transaction (such as the plan purchased, transaction ID, and billing email) so we can activate your plan and keep required accounting records.
• IP Address: Your IP address is collected automatically when you interact with our service, for security, fraud prevention, and analytics.
• Analytics: We collect non-sensitive statistics about visits to loser.gg and to biolink pages, including the referring website, device type, country of origin (derived from IP address), and visit timestamps. Analytics are processed by our own systems — we do not use third-party analytics services.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the service
• Prevent multi-accounting, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• Show page owners statistics such as profile views, clicks, and traffic sources
• Process payments and manage paid plans
• Communicate with you about your account or the service

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share information only with:

• Service providers — hosting and infrastructure providers and email delivery services that need it to operate the service on our behalf, and that may use it only for that purpose
• Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Coinbase Commerce, Paddle, Klarna) when you make a purchase, as described above
• Sign-in providers (Discord, Google) when you choose to log in through them
• Legal authorities, if required by law or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of loser.gg, our users, or others

If loser.gg is ever acquired or merged, account information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will announce any such change through the channels described under "Changes to This Privacy Policy".

Cookies

We use first-party cookies to keep you logged in and to support our own analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can configure your browser to decline some or all cookies, or to notify you when one is set; declining cookies may prevent you from staying logged in.

Do Not Track

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. Traffic is treated the same whether or not a DNT signal is present.

Data Retention

• Account information is kept for as long as your account exists and is deleted when your account is deleted.
• Analytics data and IP addresses are retained while the associated account exists and are deleted along with the account.
• OAuth access tokens are held only for the duration of the login process.
• Transaction records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes. Payment processors retain payment data under their own privacy policies.

Security

We work to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage on the internet is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect or seek the personal information of children under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information without your consent, please contact us immediately — we will promptly delete their information and any accounts or pages they created.

Your Rights and Choices

You may access, correct, or delete your account and personal information at any time. You can delete your account from your account settings, or make any of these requests by emailing [email protected] or contacting us in our Discord server. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before acting on a request.

Biolink pages and other parts of the service may contain links to external sites that we do not own or operate. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any site you visit. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites and services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will announce it in our Discord server and post a notice on loser.gg before or at the time the change takes effect, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. We will not retroactively apply material changes to information collected under an earlier version of this policy without your consent.
